It lacked character. I hated the dull use of color, and felt let down after seeing it. I have both the Memoirs of a Geisha book and dvd. The book is better than the movie, but the movie is definately a must see because of the settings are gorgeous. Not alot of things differ between the two, but I did notice a few. So definately check out the movie because it's good as well. ps..the bonus features rock! --especially how they explain how they had to make the whole entire set. Hey there!
