sticker shock
When my husband and I were at the mall last week, I noticed some clothes in the window of Ann Taylor that caught me eye - it was a really pretty display of clothes in black and white (black is one of my favorite colors to wear) and since we were short on time, I decided to check it out online once I got home.
Let me say first that I really like how the Ann Taylor website is laid out - because they sort their clothes by “collections”, it was really easy to find exactly what I saw in the store window. But holy moly - the prices! The skirt I liked was $98, and the shirt was $68. I’m not a total cheapskate, but I can’t bring myself to spend over $150 on a single, casual outfit for myself. Would you?

I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks this! I have friends who can justify spending that on an outfit, but I sure can’t.
