count my change
A few of my friends online were talking about change jars this weekend…some people use pretty glass bottles, some people use old pretzel containers (ha!). My husband was using an old coffee can. VERY attractive in our bedroom on the pretty new furniture! For Christmas, I bought him a fancy change jar at an outlet mall about 2 hours from here, in the Samsonite store. Not exactly cheap at $20, but it promised to count the change as you put it through the slot, and it provided a digital readout of the total.
As long as you don’t mind your count being WAY off, it’s great. It counts pennies as dimes and nickels as quarters. It’s attractive, but useless if you want to know how much change you’ve got. I can’t return it because I didn’t save the receipt, and the store I bought it from is 2 hours away. I’d waste more thna $20 in gas getting there and back!
I’m on the lookout now for one of those big glass jugs for his change.
