bundled insurance deals

When we bought our homeowners insurance last week, the agent told us that if we got a car insurance quote and switched to one of the companies they represent, we could get a discount on our homeowners insurance. Love the idea, but this isn’t the right time for us, with a recent claim on our vehicle. I’m worried that if we switch now, we won’t get a good rate, even though the claim wasn’t our fault. I think we’re staying put with our car insurance for now, and letting some time go by before we try to save a buck.
