Does anyone know (or have an idea??) of how I could make my own adjustable "doo-hickey"? We bought shorts for my daughter that she SWORE fit her in the fitting room, but got home and washed them, now she says waist is too big. Trying to figure out how to put elastic or button or something in, so it's not $$ down the drain. Thanks!

My kids are skinny like that too. I noticed that some of the brands carried at Penneys now come in Slim sizes (for girls at least, didn't check boys), plus have the adjustable waist thingies. I love it!

Well... I am hoping to slenderize enough not to need elastic waists. But yes, for kids, you really need them no matter what!
