I use the Kodak Gallery to upload and print my digital camera pictures. Last year, I also used the site to create personalized photo calendars for my mother and my mother in law. I created new versions of the calendars for this Christmas, and then couldn’t find a decent coupon! I saved the calendar projects, and decided to wait a few days to see what popped up. This morning I was rewarded with a coupon for 20% off cards, photo books, and calendars. Just use code “JOLLYGIFTS” in your Kodak Gallery cart. I saved $8 off my calendar order.
What grandmother can resist a calendar filled with pictures of the cutest grandchildren around?
Every year, my husband asks me what I want for Christmas, and I usually have trouble coming up with a list. (Isn’t that a blessing? To want for nothing?) I’m already thinking about what I can put on my list this year, because the kids will want to make / buy me SOMETHING, but regardless of where Jim does his shopping, I’m telling him about how he can use online coupon codes to save cash online. He’s not much of an internet shopper, so I don’t think he even knows that online coupons exist!
I already know of a few books I’d like to get for Christmas, so I’ll definitely be directing Jim to this listing of Amazon coupon codes. (I *almost* bought A Thousand Splendid Suns last night at the airport, but couldn’t bring myself to pay $25 for it! It’ll be better as a Christmas gift anyway, if I can hold off that long on reading it.)
I have no problem shopping for Jim - he doesn’t even need to make a list for me. Since he’s continued with his hockey games, I’ll definitely be looking for some new hockey gear for him, and I found these Hockey Giant coupons to help me find a deal on pads and jerseys! I’ll also be looking at the clearance sales - I usually pick him up new polo shirts on sale when I see them, since he inevitably spills something when he wears his new shirts - this dooming them to being worn only once or twice before they’re stained!
DisneyShopping.com is having a back to school sale, and offering 25% off in their back to school shop, with coupon code BTS25. I just got the order I placed last week from the Disney outlet (pretty fast turnaround) and need to open it up and make sure the dress I got for my oldest will fit her. The biggest size they had was a large…hopefully they run a little big.
DisneyOutlet.com is having an end of summer clearance! By using the coupon code “OUTLET15” you can take an additional 15% off the clearance prices. That means bathing suits for $11, kids beach chairs for $5.94, swim totes for $5.09, and beach towels for $4.24! It was about this time last year that I stocked up on beach towels for my own kids, and then I held onto them til Christmas and gave them to the kids as a gift. The Disney beach towels are EXTREMELY high quality - super thick, and the design side is soft and won’t look worn out after a few washes. In fact, I’ve tossed most of our old towels and we’re using the Disney ones a majority of the time.
For only $4.24 per towel, I’ll probably buy a few to stick in my gift closet. Pair them with a pool toy and you’ve got a great birthday present for a kid for less than $10. It’s the perfect gift to take in hand when your kids get invited to those school birthday parties and you really don’t know what to get!
Ooh, I just noticed the PJ Pals are on sale too - $3.39 for a pair of character pajamas! Can’t beat that with a stick! I love the short pants style too, because it’s too hot in Florida for my son to wear long jammies to bed most nights. If you buy these, I’d recommend getting them at least one size bigger than you’ll think you’ll need, as they are very form fitting.
I wrote last week about the JCPenney super duper clearance sale we hit - I only wish it had been better organized and I would have had more time to peruse the racks. It’s such a pain when racks of clothing are JAM packed, to the point where you can’t even get the shirts and pants off the rack to see what they look like. I guess that’s one reason I enjoy shopping online so much. Sure, you’ve got to pay shipping costs, but I can usually find online coupons that will help to offset that cost, if not cover it entirely. 100BigCoupons has Target coupons and JCPenney coupons…I need to see if anything from that in store clearance made it to the JCPenney website! I found a few shirts I liked in the store but didn’t get them because they were out of my size - I’d snap one up if I found it online.
Another benefit of looking at a site like 100BigCoupons is that they’ve got all the special deals we regular people never see - the kind of deals you get by subscribing to the email newsletter for the store. Who the heck wants to subscribe to all of those different store emails - not me! Sites like this are a much more hassle free way to get your deal on.

I ended up hitting the mall last night to get that bra I needed, as well as a gift for a baby shower. The theme of the shower is “Baby’s First Book”, and we’re supposed to bring a book that we enjoyed as a child. I got Pat The Bunny, because it’s probably the first book I ever remember looking at. Anyway, $20 later in Waldenbooks, and $45-ish later at Victoria’s Secret, and I was done. Shame on me for not planning ahead! I know I could have gotten the books cheaper online with a coupon code, and I would have saved myself the hassle of the trip to the mall. And don’t EVEN get me started on Victoria’s Secret. I get Victoria’s Secret promo codes in my email all the time - did I use one? Nope, I paid full retail. Dumb, dumb, dumb!
Instead of waiting til the last minute to shop next time, I’m going to plan ahead, and find a deal online, and use the coupon codes available to me. This site has a few Gap coupon codes (my new pants came today) but I’m noticing that the Gap people are a little stingy with the deals. The only free shipping code listed is only available if you use your Gap card. How about a little love for the rest of us, Gap?
Target is a little bit more generous. In fact, here’s a Target coupon code good for $5 off your order. Not huge, but better than Gap, right? And if it saves me the gas and time, $5 is better than nothing. (Especially considering I went to THREE different Targets last night in search of something very specific, and none of them had what I needed!)
After hitting the Gap outlet store and not finding any suitable pants for work, I decided to go online to Gap.com and pay full retail price for what I needed. Of course, I wasn’t REALLY going to pay full retail price - I set off in search of coupon codes to save me a few bucks on my $100 order. I found the Gap coupons I needed, got distracted by the sale items and swimsuit clearance, and saved a few bucks in the process. Check out the Gap coupon screencast there too - in case you can’t figure out how to apply your coupon code, they’ve provided you with a visual! Neat, huh?
Skechers.com is running a 20% off sale for the next 2 days. If you don’t mind waiting for your shoes for 2 weeks, it’s a good deal. Just use code SPRING20 at Skechers.com to get your discount. I’ve had my eye on some shoes there (Bikers: Rallies) and almost bought them online last time, but after trying them on at the store in person this weekend, I’m glad I didn’t. They looked super cute on the display, and just super dumb on my feet.
Disney announced a 1 day only sale this morning that affects DisneyShopping.com and DisneyOutlet.com. You can take 15% off sitewide with the promo code TODAY15.
I’ve been eyeballing this hurricane shade candelabra there for weeks and weeks, so maybe this sale will prompt me to finally make a move and just buy the darn thing already. Sales like this are always great for stocking up my gift closet too!
Have you ever been to one of those sites that has forums for people to talk about shopping, like FatWallet, or Slickdeals? You’ll find pages and pages of threads devoted to certain stores, and the deals found. I love them, because you can find some things that you wouldn’t come across otherwise. But on the other hand, I hate those forums, because things get buried quickly. Who wants to read through 20 pages of postings to find a coupon code or a great deal?
Dealighted is a new tool that takes the best deals from sites like the ones mentioned above, and identifies the best & most popular deals, and those appear on the top of the Dealighted homepage. They take over 650 user contributed deals a DAY, and narrow them down to get the best of the bunch - typically about 125 deals.
I visited the site and loved how the offer was highlighted right up front, like “2 Free Spider Man 3 tickets”, or “2 day sale at Air Tran”, and even “Free Idahoan Potatoes”! When you see a deal you’re interested in, you click on the link and you’re taken to the site where it was originally posted. A real time saver, for sure!
There’s also a search engine that lets you compare prices on products in retail stores. It also shows you any deals or coupons that may help you save a few bucks! How many times have you found something online to buy, but then had to go to another site to find a coupon code? Dealighted is saving you time and money by combining those features on their site!

Saving money online is the whole point of online shopping for me. Why buy something in a brick and mortar store if I get get it online and get 20% off, and free shipping too…like I did on the new Skechers I bought last night!
It’s easy to find coupon codes online - just pull up a site featuring promotion codes like Ultimate Coupons - search by store (they’ve got over 700 listed) and find a deal.
How about these to start with:
- Kohls coupons - good for 10% off through March 31, 2007. I could spend all day shopping at Kohls - online or off!
- Footlocker coupons - good for 10% off any size order or $10 off $75 through April 7, 2007. 3-Day gear, here I come!
- Nutrisystem coupons - you can get a FREE week of food when you buy a 28-day NutriSystem Nourish Program (ongoing offer). Not too shabby!
- VitaminShoppe coupons - you can get $10 off $50 through April 30, 2007. Probably cheaper than buying your vitamins in the grocery store!
Happy spending. Err…saving!
We’ve been working a bit on our landscaping and things are really coming together now. I’ve seen items from the Smith & Hawken line in stores locally (Target, I think?) but wanted to check them out online to see the full selection - which led me to myJaco.com online coupons. I stumbled upon a GREAT coupon code at myJaco.com online coupons for $20 off a $40 order at Gardens Alive - just what I need to make my brown thumb a little greener! I also found a coupon for $25 off on order of $50 or more at Dutch Gardens. With deals like that, it makes sense for me to buy the things I need for our newly planted garden online. myJaco.com also has a new rewards program. You earn points just for visiting the website, which turn into prizes and discounts for you!
Have you started your Christmas shopping yet?
Stop laughing, I’m serious! I have half of a closet in my bedroom set aside as a “gift closet”. When I find great deals, I buy things for the gift closet. When I need to come up with a birthday gift, a hostess gift, a get well soon gift - voila, the gift closet. I don’t do that for everyone - close friends and family get something personal. But how many times has your child brought home a birthday party invitation, and you’ve had to make a special trip to the store for a gift? For a child you don’t know?
I’m going to be perusing the big Disney outlet 70% off sale for additions to my gift closet. You can get $5 flat rate shipping there right now with the promo code “SHIPFIVE”.
Any reader of this blog knows I absolutely love saving money when shopping online. I made it a habit to ALWAYS track down coupon codes once I’m ready to check out. But unless you’re on a mailing list for the store you’re buying from, how do you get those great coupon codes? Online of course! You can easily find promotion codes for almost ANY store online at sites like UltimateCoupons.com - they have over 700 stores listed, from pet supplies to electronics to sporting goods and much more.
Do yourself a favor - don’t buy a THING online without checking a site like that out for coupon codes! I usually am able to get free shipping, or 10% or 15% off my order - sometimes even better! For example, I saw my Skechers in Kohl’s last night - $55! I bought them online and got 30% off with discount codes and free shipping. Why pay full price?
Do you have VoIp? We do, and I love it. I wish I had known that we’d be getting it when we moved in, because I wouldn’t have worried about placing phone jacks throughout the house during the construction process. Vonage is one of the biggest names in the VoIP (that’s “Voice over Internet Protocol”) and most of the VoIP services, Vonage included, give you a lot of extras in your monthly cost. My service includes caller ID (and since it’s bundled with our cable, it flashes the number and the name of the caller on my TV AND my phone), voicemail, 3 way calling, call waiting, and all of the other bells and whistles. Right now you can save up to 50% or more off your phone bill with Vonage! Just click the Vonage link shown here and you’ll see a special coupon offer for 1 free month. It’s a greal way to try out VoIP and slash your monthly phone bill in half, not to mention, your whole first month is completely free!
If you’re going to shop online, you need to get into the habit of using coupons. Without fail, if I’m spending money online, I check to see if there’s a coupon code I can use. For instance, the last time I wanted to buy yarn at my local craft store for a baby blanket, it priced out to $10 a skein. I checked for online coupon codes and found Joann coupons that allowed me to get the very same yarn online, for half the price! Not too bad, huh? Anytime I go shopping online, once I’ve added something to my cart, I open a new tab and check for a coupon…because saving money is almost as fun as spending it!
Do you have a burning desire to be known as King Ding Dong? Perhaps you’re a Top Gun? Or maybe people call you Truly Outrageous?

If you feel the need, the need for speed (or the need for campy 80’s t-shirts), get yourself over to 80’s Tees and enjoy a 20% off discount, good through tomorrow, February 3rd. Just use discount code JANUARY20 to get your savings.

I love looking thru this site - it’s like a little trip down memory lane! I remember watching Jem EVERY morning in the 4th grade, and turning off the TV when Transformers came on. I loved She-Ra and the little bit at the end of the show when you had to find the hidden animal. I had a Rainbow Brite. I hankered for a hunka cheese. And I love Jake Ryan.

I’ve ordered from 123InkJets in the past, and I was very pleased with the price, the shipping time, and the ink quality. I bought the “off-brand” stuff, and it’s just as good as the much pricier Epson ink. I’m on their newsletter now, so I thought I’d pass along a little coupon savings to you:
EXTRA 22% OFF YOUR PRINTER INK ORDER
Your Coupon Code: 2007NEWYEAR2
Expires: January 15, 2007
You MUST use this link in order to use the coupon:

Neckties.com is having a huge year-end clearance sale now through 12/31/06. If you spend some cash, you’ll save some cash:
Spend $50 - Take $10 Off
Spend $100 - Take $30 Off
Spend $200 - Take $100 Off
I’m going to send the site to my husband, since he has to wear a necktie to work everyday. I really like how the site is laid out - you can search by brand name, style (polka dot, striped, etc) and they even have a selection of neckties for little boys. The design makes finding what you want a lot easier.
