Today I came across what might be the perfect gift for my husband. What beer lover wouldn’t want to make his own home brew? Thanks to Mr Beer, you can! With a little bit of time (2 weeks) and effort, you can make 2 gallons of beer with this home brewing kit. Is that how Samuel Adams or the Icehouse guys started?

I dragged Jim off to Target on Sunday afternoon to buy him some new clothes. Yes, just like I take the children shopping before a trip, to make sure they’ve got what they need, I took my husband shopping to get him a few new things! He found 2 pairs of shorts he liked, plus a few t-shirts, and ended up going to the mall on his own that afternoon (while I took the kids to see Pirates of the Caribbean) and bought a few more things for himself there. He’s a big boy, picking out his own clothes! LOL

Color me clueless. I know that woman have all sorts of access to fancy underwear and lingerie, but I didn’t realize that there were companies that did the same thing for men. Oh sure, I’ve seen the lame bikini underwear and thongs for men with tiger stripes or a little tux…I’m talking about NICE underwear. Things girls will actually want to see men in!

I’ve got a guy who wears boxer briefs (a switch from the boxers shorts he was wearing daily as of a few years ago) and I looked at the boxer briefs in the Impetus mens underwear line - oh la la! Ok, maybe it’s just the models. They are smokin’, aren’t they? But aside from the hard bodies, I like the underwear! It’s a lot more stylish than the stuff you can buy at the department store, and the material looks extremely comfy. Don’t the ones in the picture above look nicer than what your husband or S.O. is wearing right now? As someone who regularly washes the laundry, and folds the laundry, I think yes. There’s no ugly elastic waist band and it’s all soft material that won’t rub your guy the wrong way

A friend of mine in town bought her husband a big surprise for Christmas - a new poker table! In addition, she planned a night of poker at their house for his buddies. Boy, was he surprised! More than once, I’ve thought about doing the same for Jim. He loves to play cards, but playing at our dining room table isn’t exactly the same as one of those cool felt poker tables. We don’t have room for a table that’s JUST for poker, but I could totally see doing one of those folding table-top poker tables. It looks like something that could easily be stored under our bed or in the garage when not in use. With 10 drink holders, we’ve got room for plenty of guys around the table….which means Jim stands a good shot at winning back whatever I paid for the table!

I found a hilarious site today that’s young, fresh, and hip. The owner is a 24 year old in Washington state - after finding success with a brick and mortar store, they’ve opened a website at www.marqsmen.com to offer their products to those not able to get to the store. Their focus? Offering cool things that a guy will appreciate.

The first thing I spotted was this coffee table book featuring the Brothels of Nevada. That would be SUCH a great gift for our friend, Jamie. He’s a single guy, he’s been to Vegas, and he’s got a wicked sense of humor. If risque coffee table books aren’t your thing, how about a cash cozy with platinum accents? That would be great for my husband, who currently keeps his change and spare bills in a coffee can on his nightstand. The site also has a big selection of neckties that say Generation X or Y all over them - men over 40 need not bother to wear them - you’ll only look like you’re trying too hard.

I absolutely love sites like this that offer things you simply DO NOT find anywhere else! Kudos!
